Music plays a very important part in my life, so it is only natural for me to pay it visual homage.
Some of my favourite singers, who bring colour to my days, are also the subjects of my paintings.
Here I wished to pay tribute to Singer Elisa by creating this painting for Her. I gifted the artist herself with my work at the end of a concert I attended.
In this piece I painted a guitar as it is one of the musical instruments she usually plays. Roses are depicted among its strings, symbolising her kindness and sensitivity, core elements of her voice and essence of her lyrics. The sand where the guitar rests hints at the shores in our region, Friuli – Venezia Giulia. The sunset in the background is a reference to her song “Luce (tramonti a nord-est)” which won her the San Remo Music Festival in 2001.
