Giorgia

When we are connected with the Universe, we set its Celestial Mechanics into motion and something amazing can come out of it.
This time, magic happened on the day Giorgia performed a concert at the Rossetti Theatre in Trieste.
Every time I attended a performance in that theatre, I put into the cosmos this thought of seeing her sing on that very stage, and it followed its path from star to star until it came back, shining in its stunning splendour.
Not only did I attend her concert that night, but I also had the opportunity to meet her backstage before the show and to gift her with the painting I had made for her.

A dream become excitingly true!

She greeted me with the spontaneity of the great, a wonderful smile, eager to get to know me.
We talked about Art, music and powerful signals the Universe sends us, and how closely we are connected with such divine plan.

I told her I had been following her since the 1994 edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, when I heard her amazing voice for the first time on the notes of E POI; that was the moment her talent finally revealed itself to the world.

Since then she has been part of my life, accompanying its various moments including the less pleasant ones, which has helped me to start over in this new reality of mine.
I used to listen to her voice also in the gym of the rehabilitation institute where I had been admitted following my accident, and while I was getting acquainted with this new body of mine, her words resounded in my ears and in my Soul.

As I was recounting this, Giorgia’s deep-set eyes were beaming with affection.

Being able to tell her all these things while looking into her eyes was like setting butterflies free…
She gathered them and - during the concert - let them fly by dedicating that very song (GIRASOLE) I would listen to throughout the delicate moments of my rehabilitation.

It is worth being alive for those instants spent with Giorgia in the backstage, where I felt her sincere Goodness, like the one of a dear friend, as well as for the amazing moments experienced at the concert, because they represent the beauty and the surprise of Life that connects with the Universe.

In the painting I made for her, I chose to portray an “old style” microphone with reference to the SOUL and RHYTHM AND BLUES nuances in her stunning voice, whereas the roses pay homage to the sensitivity of her free spirit and her inner beauty.
Those flowers also represent the stage of Sanremo which will always be her home.
